- To make sure that you and your team work safe every day, every hour and every minute, no exception.
- Compliance with the Seadrill Code of Conduct.
- Compliance with applicable internal and external governing requirements.
- That any operations do not exceed the limitations of the unit or its equipment.
- Daily detailed planning is conducted for all upcoming operations.
- Good and clear communications with all involved parties.
- Compliance with Seadrill training, certification and competence requirements.
- That all relevant personnel are adequately trained in handling emergencies.
- That all emergency equipment is in good condition and configured as required.
- Non-compliances are promptly acted on and reported to the direct supervisor.
- Training and competence assessments as assigned and/or required are performed.
- Compliance with the standard for tidiness and cleanness.
- Assume the safety role as per station bill and emergency preparedness plan.JOB SPECIFIC
Responsible for/ensure:
All relevant governing documents are adhered to.
- All relevant governing documents are revised as and when required.
- Safe and efficient execution of operations as per procedures.
- Thorough handovers are provided at each daily change of shift.
- Active participation in meeting activities.
- Other duties are performed as required and/or directed by his/her direct supervisor.
Assist With
- Deck or rig floor operations as required or directed.
- Preparation for future drilling operations.
- Organizing and supervising the deck crews.
- Maintenance of cranes and other relevant lifting appliances.
- Relieve on drill floor and in other areas as required and directedEQUIPMENT & SYSTEMSAssist with:
- Ensuring operational preparedness of all safety and emergency equipment
- Maintaining drilling and marine equipment and maintenance records
- Maintaining and operating the mud processing solids control equipment
- Preparing all tubular’s, handling gear and other equipment required for the well operationsOTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be conversant and utilize appropriate company procedures for all lifting operations, banksman and slinging duties;
- Carry out lifting operation duties as directed;
- Maintain all equipment and perform housekeeping as instructed;
- Ensure all tools and equipment are stowed appropriately at the end of each tour to avoid safety hazards for other operations;
- Assist in the maintenance of the crane, rig’s machinery and equipment using correct tools and following safety procedures;
- Provide assistance in the mixing of mud chemicals, pit / tank cleaning, and pump room maintenance;
- Perform regular steel preparation and painting to maintain the unit;
- Assist in the care, protection, maintenance and preparation of tubulars on the pipe deck;
- Carry out helideck duties as instructed;
- Ensure that approved rig operating procedures are adhered to at all times. Report all unsafe activities situations, and potential hazards to
supervisor;
- Actively participate in the Safety Management Systems;
- Actively participate in safety, departmental, pre-tour, client meetings, etc.;
- Effectively use all safety and environmental tools employed by Seadrill (4-point check, OBS cards, PTW etc.);
- Perform all emergency duties as per designation on the station bill and applicable emergency response plans;
- Comply with the training matrix for the position;
- Complete training requirements in a timely manner as per Seadrill training matrix;
- Work as directed by the Assistant Crane Operator, Crane Operator or Deck Foreman.
This includes cleaning and painting jobs;
- Be safety conscious in all his work and behavior and use compulsory personal protective equipment relevant for the work situation;
- Ensure tools and/or lifting equipment are in good working order before being used
- Perform any specific duties as designated by his supervisor;
- Perform surface preparation and paint work as required;
- Review and, as required, perform all safety control duties as per rig´s specific HSE Case, Safety Case, HAZOP and TBRA´s;
- Review and, as required, perform all duties related to safety controls among all tasks performed by himself and or working group;
- Perform, respecting any applicable license limitation and under supervision, similar responsibilities as Roughneck, Assistant Crane Operator or Assistant Materials Administrator for training, qualification and temporary coverage purposes;
- Perform, if required, the same duties as of Painter;
- Keep up own certification and medical certificates up to date;
- Assist in tubular and down hole tool measurements;
- Perform equipment, deck and pit cleaning as required by supervisor;
- Proceed fire watching activities during hot work, assisting the task as required;
- Participate as part of the helideck crew for helicopter landing operations, under HLO supervision;
- Perform all types of housekeeping activities;
- Assist catering crew in their activities according to supervisor instructions.
- Perform work at heights with personnel lift basket;
- Assist in personnel transfer basket operation between rig and boat, quay or barge.
